You’ve probably heard the term “type family” before, but here is the first “type superfamily.” By the creator of Verdana, Georgia, and Tahoma, Role is an ambitious and international undertaking. Role has 200 (!) weights, and the most impressive part? It supports characters for 98 languages! If you’ve ever designed a website that has to be translatable, you know that finding the perfect typeface that supports multiple languages can be a struggle. This font is a graphic design game changer!
Check this out! Coca-Cola is leading the way in the next generation of sustainable packaging design. The bottles for their European arm are made from paper! Designed in conjunction with Paboco, who is also working on a paper bottle for Absolut, the bottle has a rigid paper outer section that is totally recyclable. Unfortunately, there is still a plastic liner inside the paper, but it is significantly less than the plastic required to make a plastic bottle. The company has also committed to continue searching for a way to make the bottles 100% sustainable. We think they’re off to a great start!
