Obviously, we are craving some pasta this week. We all love a vodka sauce, so Heinz is making sure they make top-shelf vodka sauce with a team-up with Sweden’s Absolut Vodka. The best in tomato sauces meets the best in vodka! This dynamic duo is showcasing the co-brand with a clever graphic campaign that showcases an iconic visual: the Absolut bottle, with a twist. The bottles are subtle though, no literal bottle placements here! Suggested out of piles of pasta, gaps in a tomato bush, or stacks of parmesan cheese, this campaign will have your mouth watering and adding this sauce to your grocery list.

We all knew retro design was heading our way, and I’m sure we were wondering exactly how that might look. Well, if Thorlo’s new campaign is any indication, it’s going to look awesome. High Tide agency has taken the athletic sock maker back to the 80s with bright colors, bold block fonts, and washed-out photographs, with a little bit of modern polish, like highly-saturated jewel tones. The brand was founded in 1980 and was the first speciality athletic sock manufacturer, so the decade was an obvious visual springboard for a fresh campaign.

In a surprisingly creative ad from Heinz, the food company aims to show that sometimes slowing things down can have unexpected perks. To watch normally, the ad is a blur of motion and over before you even register it began. If you take a moment to slow it down, however, you’re rewarded with not only glossy and thought-out visuals, but a $5 DoorDash coupon…if you can spot it! The ad comes in at less than 1 second long, so you’ll have to realllly slow it down, but what a creative idea!

While it’s really hard to work in stark silence, sometimes it can be frustratingly difficult to pick just the right sounds for your work groove. Podcasts can be hard to follow while also reading, music playlists can get stale and repetitive, and talk radio or news shows can stress you out. Enter AI to solve this (admittedly first world) problem. GetSound has created an AI ambience generator that uses real-time weather data for your location to curate sounds and images to perfectly match the mood wherever you are. You can even tweak the offerings by picking a “mood”: like the jungle, a rustic vampire, or the woods. Maybe this will help us when we get into a procrastination slump!
