Just like how brands in real life have a story to tell, brands in entertainment media contribute to the story being told there. Think of the fictional brands that are part of our every day lexicon: Duff Beer, Dunder Mifflin, and Waystar Royco. Turns out, fictional brands need just as much consideration as real brands, if not more! We live our lives surrounded by branding, and to make a convincing world to allow us to suspend our disbelief requires some aspects borrowed from real life, and brands are a no–brainer to bring in!
