Paper Opens a New World of Packaging Possibility

Check this out! Coca-Cola is leading the way in the next generation of sustainable packaging design. The bottles for their European arm are made from paper! Designed in conjunction with Paboco, who is also working on a paper bottle for Absolut, the bottle has a rigid paper outer section that is totally recyclable. Unfortunately, there is still a plastic liner inside the paper, but it is significantly less than the plastic required to make a plastic bottle. The company has also committed to continue searching for a way to make the bottles 100% sustainable. We think they’re off to a great start!
