Called simply WSJ Design, the site gives a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on behind the design scenes at the global paper. We’re finding it to be a fascinating exploration of print design, and it’s always refreshing to see how other designers work!

Google has a new web app to make note taking and doodling to new heights! For graphic designers, being able to quickly mark up a piece is invaluable. Sometimes, it can be tough to do on your computer screen, but now Chrome Canvas is here to make our designer lives easier! The web app is compatible with most browsers, so you don’t even have to be a Chrome user! We can’t wait to use this on the go.

If you’re a designer, you know! From fonts you’d love to hate and working into the wee hours of the morning, to designers’ penchant to wear all black, there are plenty relatable mentions found within.

These very normal looking portraits and photos look like something you’d see every day, right? That’s the impressive thing about them: none of them are actually photographs! Every single one was generated by artificial intelligence. It only took a week of training the AI before it was capable of creating incredibly believable photos! We can’t decide if we’re more amazed or scared.

We love this new label design from Coca-Cola. So, you have classic Coke and then the calorie-less Coke Zero, right? Red is the dominant color on the Coke label and black is the dominant color on the Coke Zero label. No longer! To encourage people to try the sugarless version, Coke redesigned the Coke Zero label to be predominantly red, except for a black stripe at the top that says “Zero Sugar.” It’s a very simple redesign that reinforces the company’s message that the lighter version tastes just like the classic version.
