The Cat In The Hat Opens A Travel Agency

If family vacations are starting to feel a little predictable (or expensive!), Dr. Seuss has a different idea: travel by book! To celebrate the author’s birthday, Dr. Seuss Enterprises launched the Dr. Seuss Travel Agency, a website that treats classic Dr. Seuss stories like vacation destinations. Fans can “book” trips to places like the Truffula Forest or Mt. Zorn, download passports, maps, and postcards, and follow along as the Cat in the Hat acts as your travel agent. It’s a clever campaign that borrows the look and feel of traditional tourism marketing to really hammer home that some of the best adventures still start with a book.
