Sprint holds quarterly events for its broad base of employees to boost moral and set goals for the coming year. Sprint came to us wanting us to create a branded and themed programs to educate their employees on the current “churn” or turnover client rate. The push was to take an idea that wasn’t seen as fun and morph it into a campaign that people would enjoy and act upon. Our idea was to create a superhero campaign that would make every Sprint employee think of themselves as their own superhero. The campaign included an illustrated superhero “Captain No Churn,” branded banners and even a cardboard cutout superhero who supplied informational scratch-off tickets that included the chance to win a new iPod. This all led to increased employee engagement, which in turn decreased client church rates.
