A to Z of Awesome with LEGO

Pride Month is off to a strong start, and now LEGO is in on the celebrations! The toymaker invited members of the LGBTQIA+ to craft something that encapsulates themselves in a project called The A to Z of Awesome. This initiative will showcase builds from the public, as well as LEGO employees, and will run until 2023. So if you’ve got an idea, it’s not too late to get it featured! LEGO will ultimately curate the work to spell out out the alphabet on a website that will feature all the letters and their creators by the end of the year.

What Does Your Font Make Your Customers Feel?

Monotype is here with a well illustrated and researched case for how fonts make you feel. We can all feel it, if a typeface is poorly chosen, it can make the whole design look…off, even if you can’t quite put your finger on it. Like you wouldn’t put up a daycare sign using something futuristic and clean, and you wouldnt start a bank with a playful typeface. The study is fascinating, and shows specific examples. Monotype also showed that the font caused these associated emotions in the absence of a logo or photo at all.
