Generative AI Food Fails

For everything it can do that’s mind blowing, generative AI imagery isn’t coming for our graphic design gig quite yet. Uber Eats sparked a stir when it seemed they had replaced real food photos on the menu of New York City’s Roma Pizza with bizarre AI-generated images and descriptions. These oddities showed unrealistic food representations, including an obvious difficulty distinguishing between a dessert pie and a pizza pie. The eatery blamed a third party, but safe to say AI was used and quality checks were not!

Reddit Rebrand

It’s a rebrand, and a big one! Design agency Pentagram took on a massive makeover for Reddit, with the goal of capturing that “utopian vibe” in how the site looks.
