AI Needs Designers More Than We Think

We’ve all heard ad nauseum that AI is coming for all of our jobs. However, this article from CNBC has some encouraging news for those of us in the graphic design field. Turns out, even the visual output from AI is only as good as the human prompts that help create it. Graphic designers have always been encouraged to have a “plus” skill: years ago, adding light copywriting was an added bonus to the skillset, and more recently knowing how to code. AI seems to be the next big shift, and learning how to use it to make us even more effective at our jobs seems like the most surefire way to help us continue to add value…and therefore be irreplaceable!
