The Importance of Logos

We’ve mentioned it once…or twice, but here’s a great example to illustrate the importance of visual communication: USB-C cables are poised to become the universal charging cable thanks to regulations from the EU, due to their ability to also handle Thunderbolt charging for Apple products. However, not all USB cables are chargers, as we all know when we rummage through our junk drawers looking for the right connector. That’s where the Certified USB Logo Program comes in! While they won’t be winning any design awards, they allow a user to know exactly what they’re looking at at first glance, which makes them easier for users to use, which makes them happier 🙂
