Syd Mead, Design Pioneer

The graphic design world is mourning the passing of Syd Mead. The pioneer of design is responsible for the look and feel of a lot of your favorite media. Don’t believe us? Here’s some examples: Mead designed the entire world of Blade Runner, from the giant holographic billboards, all the way down to the street noodle vendor’s stand where Deckard grabs dinner. He brought his vision back for Blade Runner 2049, as well as for Tron, Aliens, and many more beloved sci-fi and cyberpunk films. The world of design just won’t be the same without him.
