Mar 16, 2017

Technology has made it easier for design to touch every part of our lives. The demands for innovative designs that express individual style are on the rise. Designers from all walks of life are heeding the call. Companies around the world are utilizing graphic designers to create a tidal wave of distinctly unique designs for people of all ages. Here are a few companies where artist involvement definitely enhances their products.

When you think of PepsiCo products, visions of carbonated bubbles and the crisp juxtaposition of red and blue might come to mind. However, PepsiCo has recently launched one of their newest products, LifeWTR, a premium bottled water. With a limited number of designs shown every three months, PepsiCo is giving designers of various backgrounds exposure and the opportunity to put their stamp on an international brand.

The global design community is also putting their mark on the practice of yoga. Sankalpa provides designers with an outlet to submit sublime creations in the form of mats and other tools used by yogis. Each design is meant to instill a sense of mindfulness and inspiration.

There is something to be said about the need for “happy feet”– and we aren’t talking about the movie. The footwear masters at Bucketfeet bring graphic designers, fashion enthusiast, and other disciplines together to create gorgeous, meticulously designed shoes. Designers are given a literal canvas to work with and all of their creations simply ooze personality.

With the advances in technology and connectivity, the creative world is able to bring their work to the masses faster than ever. This is quickly becoming the new age of design creating a seamless relationship with function.
