History in Color

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has an amazing new exhibit that blends ancient history with modern technology, and adds a healthy sprinkle of color to it! The exhibit, Chroma, shows what ancient works of art would have looked like when they were created long ago. Believe it or not, all those white marble statues you see in museums were vibrantly painted when they were first sculpted, which gives a very different view of what these ancient cities might have looked like! This exhibit restores the works to their original, colorful glory…without actually effecting the statues, so you can view them guilt free!
